February Week 2 - The Letter R

This week, we had wonderful weather on the Oregon coast, so we spent lots of time outside enjoying the sun! After introducing the letter R for Rabbit, we talked about the different colors that make up a rainbow. After, the kids enjoyed coloring in their rainbows in the classroom.

In My Friend Rabbit, a toy gets stuck in a tree... Rabbit's plan for getting the plane out of the tree doesn't work out so I asked the class what they would do! There were some great answers. For Groundhog's Day, we read How Groundhog's Garden Grew and talked a little about what a groundhog is and what the holiday means.
