Friday Update

 What have we been learning?

At Mouse Factory we use Zoo Phonics to introduce letters and letter sounds. Children enjoy the animals and movements making it a fun way to learn. The past two weeks we have learned "A" for Alligator, "B" for Bear and "C" for Cat. 

With each new letter I also bring out our Alphabet Tubs which have small items that start with the specific letter; we always have fun talking about all of the different items and include counting and number recognition. 

I am incredibly happy with all of the positive social interaction I see each day with this group. Patience towards each other, kindness when someone is sad or gets hurt and trying their best to use communication in order to express their emotions.

Cleaning Schedule

Halloween

I have begun decorating the classroom for Halloween, my goal is to make each holiday season a special time for the kids this school year. I have not decided what I will do for our Halloween Party this year but I am thinking about it and will let all of you know if I need any assistance. I plan to dress up for class on 10/29 and encourage all of the students to do so as well. I will say that with costumes, make sure they are comfortable and can still play. Also, if you don't want their costume dirty you may want to send them in something different.
