This week I had some new supplies to share with the class. Kwik Stix are tempura paint in stick form that’s easy to use without all the clean up of regular paint and has a quick drying time. We also spent time outside drawing with the new brightly colored sidewalk chalk. 

We’ve ended January with the letter “R” for Rabbit. When introducing a new letter we not only practice recognizing the letter but also work on the letter sound and talk about words that begin with that letter. Our question and story usually include the letter as well.

Valentine’s Day is on a Sunday this year so we will celebrate Thursday, February 11th. Each child can bring store bought or homemade Valentines to pass out to each student (limit candy if at all possible). We will read holiday themed books and enjoy holiday themed crafts. If a parent would like to volunteer to bring cookies or cupcakes and another to make Valentine play dough the kids would appreciate it! Thank you!
