Field Trip to the Aquraium
This week, Mouse Factory had their first field trip to the Aquarium. We have done this in the past with previous cohorts, but with Covid, we weren't able to do anything like this last year. So we were really excited to receive a grant from the Oregon Coast Aquarium to cover the entrance fees for all of the students and their accompanying parents.
To start off the field trip, we all went in the classroom and learned about some of the sea creatures that live in the coastal waters here in the Pacific Northwest. We read Eric Carle's, A House for Hermit Crab, and were able to touch some of the small sea creatures. Then we took a tour of the different exhibits at the aquarium and finished up with lunch in the outside pavilion near the parking lot. Thank you to all of the parents that were able to make it and provide such a special outing for the kiddos. Here are a few photos I was able to capture that day.
