November Week 3 Update - The Letter H & I

Last week, we had our field trip to the Aquarium which was free due to a grant offered by the Oregon Coast Aquarium's outreach program. All students were able to attend with their parents and everyone had a great time. We are up to letter H with zoophonics and have been reading stories about Autumn and Thanksgiving. Next week we will be learning letter I and learning about Iguanas.

Looking forward: On November 23rd we will have our Peanuts Party.. this is something I started a few years ago and will bring back this year. During snack time, we will feast on buttered toast, popcorn, pretzles, and jelly beans just like in the Peanuts Thanksgiving. Now that we have a projector we may watch the movie as well. As with the Halloween Party, I'll have a sign up for parents to help with items. 

There is no school November 24th and 25th for Thanksgiving break. 

Our last day of school prior to Christmas Break is December 16th. We will have our Christmas Party at this time. I will enlist parent help, plan a book exchange for the kiddos and schedule some other fun activities to get into the holiday spirit.
