January Week 1 - The Letter N

 I introduced the letter N for Nigel the Night Owl. We went through our letter N bin and made night owl's after reading the story Good Night Owl. These owl's will soon be on display with the Newport Public Library's Virtual Preschool Art Show.  Even with the same pieces, the kids creativity and individuality shines through.  As soon as it is posted, you can find their virtual art show here. 

We've had to spend quite a bit of time inside as the weather has been wet and the kids are handling it well. It's been so nice welcoming them back to school and hearing about their holiday. During break, two of our students celebrated birthdays, so Happy Birthday to Audrey and Bryson!!!

Nose starts with the letter N so we read The Nose Book  and talked about what we use our nose for. After,  we painted an N with cinnamon paint -- sensory paint is always a fun time at Mouse Factory. This week we also welcomed two new students into our classroom! Mayzee and Natalie are great additions and are fitting in very well. We are happy to have them!
