September - Week 3

Hello Mouse Factory families! This week we continued talking about the letter A and built finger strength and concentration by making sticker covered A's that are hanging up in the classroom right now. It was an emotional week so we focused a lot on playing and socializing. Thursday things calmed down a lot and we had a nice relaxing day. The kids did a great job during story time as I read The Gruffalo. Afterward, we colored our own Gruffalo and answered a question about the story.

If parents would like to take turns making play dough for the classroom, I think the sensory play would really help on those high emotion days. Click here for a link to my favorite play dough recipe but there are a ton of great simple and no cook recipes for you to choose from. You can also add colors and scents. If we made an orange sized ball for each child and kept it in a ziplock bag with their name on it then that way it will help on keeping our germs to ourselves and would last longer. If someone is interested please let me know so that I don't have multiple parents making it at once. Thank you!
