October Week 2 - The Letter D

 This week I introduced the letter D for Deer so we focused a lot on arts and crafts with this letter. We lined a D with stickers, built a D dragon out of construction paper and filled in a Dot D. I read lots of stories that featured the letter D including, "If you give a Dog a Donut" and "Dear Dragon". We ended the week reading "The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin", talked about what makes a square (4 equal sides) and made a Spookley that is in their cubbies.

Please remember that we have our Basket Raffle Fundraiser, the sign ups are posted on the board outside the classroom. If a business isn't listed that you think would donate, please feel free to ask them. If you have any questions about donation item collections please feel free to ask. 

A few other items worth noting: Our Halloween party is the Thursday before Halloween, all students are invited as well as parents! I have a sign up sheet for that s well... please check it out and plan to bring something. Also, If you are going to host a Trunk for Trunk or Treat, please let me know... the more trunks the better the event. Thank you!!
